The festival

What is the VLOED festival and what can I expect?

VLOED is a festival full of movement in Zandvoort. Stories are translated into art, music, theater, and dance at iconic locations in the village and in the middle of the dunes. You can read more about the festival on our page About VLOED.

When does VLOED take place?

VLOED is a three-day festival from May 14 to 15, during Ascension weekend. The program takes place between 12:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Where does the VLOED festival take place?

Festival VLOED takes place at various locations in Zandvoort: from the village center to the Waterleidingduinen. The location is listed for each program item. Please refer to the program for details.

What is the best way to arrange my transportation to Zandvoort?

We recommend traveling to Zandvoort by train or bicycle. For more information about how to get to Zandvoort, please visit the Visit Zandvoort website.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

In the Netherlands, we are not afraid of a little rain and wind. Only in extreme weather conditions (such as storms or very high winds) are we forced to adjust the program or, in extreme cases, cancel it. In the event of cancellation or changes, we will inform you as soon as possible by email.

What sanitary facilities are available and where can I find them?

Public toilets:
-Boulevard Barnaart 31, near the camper van sites
-Zandvoort aan Zee station
-Hema (Raadhuisplein)
-Louis Davidstraat opposite the HDMZ Museum
-‘De Rotonde’ on the boulevard.

Can I cancel or rebook my ticket?

Do I need to print my tickets or can I show them digitally?

You can easily have your ticket scanned from your phone. That saves paper—and therefore trees!

Program

Is VLOED suitable for children/families?

Yes, definitely! We have a special kids' route for families. And the spectacular Roar race is also an activity on Badhuisplein especially for children.

Combine your visit to VLOED with a bite to eat and a drink at the Wereldse Smaken food truck festival on Gasthuisplein.
