ACCESSIBILITY

At VLOED, we strive to create an inclusive and accessible festival experience for as many people as possible. VLOED is a festival full of movement. Performances are not only experienced from a seat, but also while walking through the dunes or the village. This presents challenges in terms of accessibility, but together we always look for a suitable solution.

Welcome to VLOED

We believe it is important that everyone feels welcome and can experience our activities, information, and locations as fully as possible. That is why we pay attention to accessibility, both online and at the physical festival locations. On this page, you can read about what we are already doing and what we are still working on.

The website

We strive to make our website accessible to as many people as possible. In doing so, we take the following into account:

  • clear and understandable texts
  • a clear structure
  • sufficient contrast between text and background
  • user-friendliness on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

We follow the guidelines for digital accessibility (WCAG) as much as possible. However, it is possible that parts of the website are not yet fully accessible.

Activities and locations

We take different needs into account as much as possible in our routes and activities. Consider:

  • the physical accessibility of locations
  • clear information in advance about accessibility and facilities
  • room for customization where possible

The degree of accessibility may vary depending on the location or activity. We will indicate this as clearly as possible in the program.

Low-stimulus

A large part of our routes (the dance route, experience route, kids route, and village route) take place outdoors. This naturally creates a more peaceful atmosphere and makes these routes suitable for visitors who are sensitive to stimuli. Feel free to keep your distance from other visitors and enjoy the route at your own pace.

Wheelchair users

Almost all of our routes are accessible to wheelchair users. Unfortunately, the photography route is not, due to walks through the sand dunes.

Partner locations

All three locations on our evening route are wheelchair accessible. Our program also includes references to partner organizations. For specific information about the accessibility of their locations, please refer to their own websites.

Assistance & service dogs

Would you like to bring an assistant? Please send us an email in advance so we can help you plan.

Assistance dogs are welcome. We would appreciate it if you could inform us in advance.
